Mumtaz d/o Mohamed Yusoff (Sec 4/2, 2007) was featured in the Budget Speech 2008 on 15 Feb as an example of a student on the MOE Financial Assistance Scheme who overcame odds to achieve good 'O' Level results (scored distinctions in all her subjects) and win the TKGS Outstanding Service Award 2007. She was also featured in Berita Harian on 16 Feb 2008.
